About Us
Our Governance Structure
BCHA is a community benefit society and an exempt charity. We converted to charitable status in 2012 in order to benefit from charitable tax savings which could be reinvested into our homes and the services we provide. We operate for the benefit of the community.
Our volunteer Broad of Management oversee our work. We have ten board members with a breadth of skills and experience including social housing, corporate finance, local authority finance, asset management, maintenance, governance and business transformation.
They meet regularly to set the strategic direction, monitor performance and ensure the association is compliant with relevant laws and regulations. The Audit Sub-Committee oversee risk management, internal and external audit programmes and financial performance.
